District Fundraising Initiative (DFI)
DFI stands for District Fundraising Initiative and DFIs are the three causes that Circle K supports
through fundraising! This year's DFIs are Trevor Project, Kiwanis Family House, and Pediatric Trauma Program.
The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide
prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning youth.
Kiwanis Family House
The Kiwanis Family House was created to provide temporary, restful, secure, and low-cost housing to families
of seriously ill patients that are being treated at the University of California Davis Medical Center
in Sacramento, CA. The funds raised will go towards further supporting these families.
Pediatric Trauma Program
Pediatric Trauma Program, or PTP, works toward preventing unintentional injury in children. Unintentional
injury is the #1 leading cause of death in kids ages 14 and under, and 90% of these injuries can actually
be prevented. This program utilizes their knowledge and funds to train pediatric doctors and nurses, purchase
essential medical equipment, and create or expand community outreach programs. The funds raised will go
towards aiding this cause, as well as providing safety items for children.
